Main menu option: Tests...

It runs tests on modules, algorithms and objects to check the integrity and correct functioning of the HSM. Tests can be carried out using the objects in the partition itself or objects in the partition where the user has permission, indicating the name of the partition and the name of the object with the training rule:

These tests do not generate persistent data in the HSM and can be carried out, for example, after importing a key or object, to check its integrity

The tests carried out are as follows:

Symmetric encryption: a random data buffer of the specified size is generated with the specified key. The buffer is encrypted with the specified key and then decrypted. A comparison is then made between the original buffer and the decrypted one to verify the correctness of the process. The symmetric encryption mode of operation and the padding scheme for the block algorithms (DES, DESX, 3DES and AES) must also be entered.
Asymmetric encryption: a hash signature operation is performed with the given key, followed by hash verification.
Random number generation: generates a sequence of random bytes.
Internal testing with HSM hash algorithms. In some HSM versions and models, some of the tests may fail because the algorithm is not loaded.
